21.1km Road Race

Starts 07:00 @ the top of Ouberg Pass on the R63.  Transport to the starting point provided.  NO PRIVATE TRANSPORT.

10km Road Race

Starts at 07:15 two kilometers after the gate to the Camdeboo Nature Reserve on the R63.  Transport to the starting point provided.  NO PRIVATE TRANSPORT.

5km Fun Run

Starts 07:30 @ the Botanical Sports Grounds.

FINISH FOR ALL 3 RACES AT BOTANICAL SPORTS GROUNDS.

ALL race entries close on 16 September 2016.  A late entry fee of R30.00 will apply after 16/09 and on pre-registration on Friday evening - 30 September and Saturday morning - 1 October for the 21.1km and 10km.

You will get acces to the Karoo-lus Festival for the Saturday only when entering the race.

Race organised in accordance with the rules of ASA, EPA and Graaff-Reinet Running Club.

Race Information:

General:

• Race day 1 October 2016.
• Organised by Graaff-Reinet Running Club in accordance with ASA and EPA.
• Athletes must run in official club colours with 2016 ASA license number on the front of the vest.
• Athletes who are not licensed members of a club affiliated with ASA must purchase a temporary license to be worn on the front of the vest.
• Earphones are not allowed.
• The prize giving will take place @ 10:30 inside the Botanical Sports Grounds.  Please attend the prizegiving to qualify for Lucky Draw prizes
• Entries for local Graaff-Reinet runners can be obtained from the Montego Head office, Nommerpas and Brian Bands Sports in Graaff-Renet.
• Traffic officials and race marshals must be obeyed at all times.
• Busses to starting points (21.1- and 10kms) will start departing from 05:00 from the Stockensroom street entrance of the Botanical Sports Grounds.

Race rules for 21.1km

• Race start @ 07;00am
• All entrants must be 16 years and older on the day of the race for the 21.1km
• Official cut off times:  21.1km - 3h30.
• Refreshment stations will be provided every 3km's on route.

Racee rules for 10km

• Race starts 07:15am
• All entrants must be 14 years and older on the day of the race for the 10km.
• Official cut off times :  2h00
• Refreshment stations will be provided every 3km's on route.

Race rules for 5km Fun Run:

• Race starts 07:30am at the Botanical Sports Grounds
• All entrants 9 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult
• Medals are subject to availability.

Prize money (mens and ladies categories):

21.1km     Open: 1st - R1 000.00; 2nd - R750.00; 3rd - R500.00

                  Veteran 1st - R600.00

                  Masters 1st - R300.00

                 Grand Masters - R200.00

10km  Open 1st - R750.00; 2nd - R500.00; 3rd - R300.00

Lucky draw prizes:  Winners must attend to receive the prize.
